Bangladesh Ambassador to PH pays courtesy on the Navy chief

NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA Manila – The Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh to the Philippines, Asad Alam Siam, paid a courtesy call on the Philippine Navy (PN) Flag Officer In Command, Rear Adm. Adeluis Bordado, at the PN headquarters here today, June 22.

Future engagements and collaborations between the PN and the Bangladesh Armed Forces and Navy were among those discussed during said visit.

Three years after damaging an unidentified submarine supporting HUK rebels off Lamon Bay, Quezon Province in November 1952 with RPS SAMAR (PS33) under Navy Lt. Domingo Villamater, said vessel now skippered by Navy Lt. Burgos Baluyot would again hold the record of finally sinking an unidentified submarine on June 22, 1956.
