NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila - The Annual General Inspection (AGI) of the Philippine Navy (PN) for the year 2024 has commenced at its headquarters on Wednesday, February 7 following the entrance briefing by the inspection team headed by The Inspector General, Armed Forces of the Philippines, LtGen. Steve Crespillo.
Navy Chief VAdm Toribio Adaci Jr. warmly welcomed the AFP Inspector General and his party while underscoring that this annual inspection as “an opportunity to scrutinize our operations, objectively assess our progress, pinpoint areas for improvement, and celebrate our successes thus far.”
He also conveyed a message to the entire Fleet-Marine Team to cooperate fully with the inspectors and ensure the availability of necessary documents and compliance with requirements.
During his speech, LtGen Crespillo further emphasized the importance of the AGI in making sure that “we will be maintaining the standards of the Navy and the Armed Forces by analyzing and evaluating where we should focus in our organization.”
The AGI aims to assess the significance and effectiveness of the policies, systems, and procedures set forth and implemented by the organization's higher leadership in relation to the service's performance, mission attainment, and organizational transformation.
