NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila — The Philippine Fleet Commander, Rear Adm. Renato David, made his exit call to the Flag Officer In Command, Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr., at the Navy Headquarters on November 6, 2024, as he ends his 38-year military career.
“On behalf of the Philippine Navy, we extend our congratulations for doing a splendid job as Commander of the Philippine Fleet. We thank you for your service as Commander of the Philippine Fleet and all the other designations you have successfully handled in the past. It is nice to see you finish the race with flying colors," said Vice Adm. Adaci, commending Rear Adm. David’s leadership.
As Commander of the Philippine Fleet, Rear Adm. David shouldered the responsibility of ensuring the fleet’s operational readiness, and coordinating maritime security to protect national sovereignty. He excelled in these duties, upholding mission standards, strengthening the Navy’s operational capacity, and boosting morale within the fleet.
Rear Adm. David also served as the Commander of the Joint Task Force Malampaya, Commander of the Naval Education, Training and Doctrines Command, and Commander of Naval Forces West.
A proud graduate of the Philippine Military Academy “Bigkis Lahi” Class of 1990, he expressed gratitude to the Philippine Navy and the Armed Forces of the Philippines for the opportunity to serve his country and countrymen.
