MARINE BARRACKS RUDIARDO BROWN, Taguig City — In recognition of his loyal and honorable service to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Deputy Commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC), BGen. Romeo Racadio PN(M) was honored with a Testimonial Parade, Review, and Retirement Ceremony with Retreat on August 16, 2024 with the PMC Commandant, MGen. Arturo Rojas, as the presiding officer at Bonifacio Naval Station, Taguig City.
"As I embark on this new chapter of my life, I'll carry with me the lessons learned, the values forged, and the values engraved in my being. I leave the military with a deep sense of pride and gratitude knowing that the spirit of service and sacrifice will continue to thrive within our marine corps ranks," said BGen. Racadio.
Ahead of his retirement, BGen. Racadio visited the Philippine Navy Headquarters in Manila, where he was accorded Arrival Honors and welcomed by the PN Flag Officer in Command, Vice Adm. Toribio Adaci Jr. on August 15.
"If there are people who should be thankful for your service, it would be the men of the Philippine Navy and the Filipino people. Congratulations, you are finishing the race with flying colors. I know your journey in the service has taken you to as many places as possible," remarked Vice Adm. Adaci Jr.
BGen. Racadio, a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Sambisig" Class of 1991, held notable positions in the military service as the Commander of the 2nd Marine Brigade; Commander of Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi, Chief of Unified Command Staff at Western Command; and Deputy Commander of the Naval Intelligence and Security Force, among others.
"Your amazing journey truly inspires us and your contribution will continue to guide and motivate our future generations of marines. Thank you for your outstanding service, untiring dedication and your strong leadership," expressed PMC Commandant, MGen. Rojas.
