PH Navy welcomes Canadian Navy Ship during its Goodwill visit in Manila

NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila - The Philippine Navy welcomed the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) Her Majesty Canadian Ship (HMCS) Ottawa (FFH-341) for its goodwill visit on February 07, 2025, at the Navy Headquarters in Manila.

Capt Lorenzo Bolor Jr PN(GSC), Superintendent of the Fleet Training and Doctrines Center (FTDC), represented the Flag Officer In Command and personally welcomed Capt Norman Gautreau RCN, Commanding Officer of Her Majesty Canadian Ship (HMCS) Ottawa (FFH-341), and his delegation during a courtesy call.

The visit served as an avenue to strengthen ties between the two navies, focusing on future collaboration in training and military exercises. During the discussions, Captain Gautreau expressed the Royal Canadian Navy’s willingness to offer submarine training to the Philippine Navy, further enhancing their partnership in defense and maritime security.
