The Philippine Navy conferred the ranks of Captain and Colonel to 50 newly promoted senior officers during a donning of ranks ceremony, presided over by Brigadier General Edwin E Amadar PN(M), Vice Commander, Philippine Navy, on January 31, 2025, at the Navy Headquarters in Manila.

“May your new rank continue to inspire, motivate, and guide you, especially those under your charge. It demands courage in the face of adversity, integrity in every decision, and loyalty to the mission and the men and women we serve alongside as you assume these new roles,” said BGen. Amadar as he delivered the message of the Flag Officer In Command, Philippine Navy.
