NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila — Philippine Navy personnel were honored during the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and The Manila Times' "Tribute to Soldiers" event, which recognized exceptional achievements by Philippine Navy, Army, and Air Force personnel over the past year, held at the Manila Hotel on August 26, 2024.

The Philippine Navy delegation, led by Vice Commander Rear Adm. Jose Ma. Ambrosio Ezpeleta, was joined by senior officers and enlisted personnel who came together to honor the PN personnel’s accomplishments.

Honored among the Philippine Navy personnel and units were:

Naval Forces West skippered by Commodore Alan Javier - Best Unit as adjudged by The Manila Times. 

TSgt. Arman Flores PN(M) - Awardee for Admin and Logistics Function

TSgt. Danilo Bañez PN(M) - Awardee for Outstanding Community Service

BM1 Salde Agarin PN (Boat Captain UM4) -  Awardee for Combat Operations (West Philippine Sea)

UO2 Anthony Turallo PN - Awardee for Achievement in Education

“Tribute to Soldiers" is an awards night that celebrates the hard work and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers in their quest for national peace and development. By highlighting stories of valor and dedication, the event aims to inspire the nation and reinforce support for the Armed Forces.

The Philippine Navy’s dedication to the Filipino people continues to be its guiding force, as it forges ahead with revitalized spirit to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
