NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila – The Philippine Navy honored Major General Jeffrey C. Hechanova PAF, Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans, J5 of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in his exit call prior to retirement, conducted at the Navy Headquarters on September 4.
“A large chunk of the things that OJ5 works on, is for the Philippine Navy, from maritime awareness to GSOMIA and capability development. We express, on the Navy’s side, our appreciation for the work you have done for the past several years, especially as the J5,” said PN Flag Officer in Command, Vice Adm. Toribio Adaci Jr. as he thanked Major Gen. Hechanova for his service.
Before assuming his role as J5, Major Gen. Hechanova served as the Deputy Wing Commander of the Tactical Operations Wing Western Mindanao and as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans, AJ5 at AFP Headquarters.
“My most profound thanks to the whole Navy, Sir. Under your leadership, the Navy is in very good hands,” expressed Major Gen. Hechanova PAF.
The Philippine Navy congratulates Major Gen. Hechanova on his retirement and lauds him for his significant contributions to the AFP.
