NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila —The Philippine Navy hosted the Indonesian Navy (IDN) delegates during the 15th iteration of the annual Navy to Navy Cooperation Meeting held in Cebu City.
RAdm. Joe Anthony C Orbe, Commander, Naval Education Training and Doctrine Command, served as the PN Head of Delegation and expressed his gratitude to the IDN delegation for their participation as he steered the meeting together with his counterpart, FAdm. I Gung Puto Alit Jaya, Head of Naval Operations and Exercise Service of the Indonesian Navy Headquarters.
The PN and IDN have been partners in the maritime security of its common borders in the Celebes Sea working together to address cross-border security challenges.
The meeting led to the update of several bilateral activities between the PN and IDN, while also establishing future maritime cooperation initiatives between the two services, particularly in operations, exercises, education and personnel exchanges, high-level interactions, and information sharing.
The Philippine Navy looks forward to deepening its partnership with the Indonesian Navy through continued engagements that enhance our mutual security and cooperation.
