PH Navy, Italian Navy discuss future collaborations during Goodwill Visit

NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila – Captain Guiseppe Lai, Commander of the Italian Navy Ship Amerigo Vespucci, paid a visit to the Philippine Navy Headquarters on September 16, as part of the Italian Navy's goodwill visit to the Philippines. 

Capt. Lai rendered a courtesy call to Capt. Joselito De Guzman, Fleet Inspector General of the Philippine Fleet and dicussed potential collaborations, including educational opportunities at the Italian Naval Academy for Philippine Navy personnel, with the objective to enhance their skills and professionalism.

They also explored future joint activities, naval exercises, and other cooperative efforts to strengthen ties between the Philippine and Italian Navies. 

The Italian Navy's goodwill visit underscores the commitment of both nations to building stronger defense relations and exploring new opportunities for mutual growth and cooperation.
