NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila - The Philippine Navy, under the leadership of Flag Officer In Command, Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr., joined in the commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of the First Philippine Republic on Tuesday, January 23 at the Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan.

President and AFP Commander In Chief Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the commemorative rites where he enjoined everyone to intensify their sense of patriotism toward the nation’s continuing progress.

“Kagaya ng mga haligi ng Republika ng Malolos, paigtingin nating lalo ang pag-ibig sa bayan upang maisulong natin ang isang mapagpalaya, mas maunlad at tunay na maginhawang Bagong Pilipinas,” President Marcos Jr. said.

Navy Chief Adaci joined other government and military officials as President Marcos Jr. laid a wreath at the monument of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, paying homage to those who laid the foundation to achieve a strong Philippine Republic that continues to inspire today amidst challenges and uncertainties.
