📅 July 07, 2024

NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila — The Philippine Navy (PN), through the Navy Personnel Management Center (NPMC), facilitated the Oathtaking and Turnover Ceremony of the Naval Officer Candidate Course Class 43 with the Director of the Philippine Navy Office for Law of Armed Conflict, Capt. Jim Razo as the Guest of Honor and Speaker on July 1 at Naval Station Jose Francisco, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

"I urge you all to prepare to be challenged and empowered. The Naval Officer Candidate Course will push you past your limits, forging you into resilient, capable, and disciplined leaders. This journey will instill in you the core values and traditions that define the Philippine Navy," said Capt. Razo.

141 officer candidates, hailing from different parts of the country, took their oaths with a commitment to the defense of our nation and joined the ranks of naval officers who will play a significant role in ensuring the readiness and effectiveness of PN operations.

Following the ceremony, the officer candidates will undergo training to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for naval leadership at the Naval Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (NETDC) in San Antonio, Zambales.

"Today, as you take your oath, you are making a solemn promise to protect and serve our nation with integrity and honor. This commitment is not just a duty; it is a privilege. Embrace it with pride, and let it guide you in all your endeavors," Capt. Razo added.
