PH Navy welcomes new Turkish Military Attaché

NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila — The Philippine Navy, headed by the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Adm. Alan Javier, welcomed the Military, Naval and Air Attaché of the Republic of Türkiye to the Philippines, Capt. (N) Gökhan Gülbìten during an introductory call on November 12 at the Navy Headquarters. 

Previously serving as Chief of Staff, Northern Task Group in the Turkish Naval Forces Command, Capt. Gülbìten recently assumed his duties as the military attaché to the country.

“I would like to welcome you on behalf of our Flag Officer in Command and we look forward to more enhanced maritime cooperation with your Armed Forces", said Rear Adm. Javier as he echoed the commitment to build stronger ties with the Turkish armed forces. 

Capt. Gülbìten then expressed his optimism for future engagements “to improve the friendship and mutual cooperation” between the Philippines and Turkey.
