NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila — The Philippine Navy welcomed Rear Adm. Mehmet Baybars Küçükatay, Chief of Operations of the Turkish Naval Forces, during a courtesy call with Rear Adm. Renato David, Commander of the Philippine Fleet, on Wednesday, June 26 at the PN headquarters.
During the meeting, Rear Adm. David and Rear Adm. Küçükatay discussed key issues critical to the future of their respective naval forces and plans that will enhance both countries' maritime defense capabilities.
Likewise, they also discussed the need for collaboration to foster maritime cooperation and address common maritime challenges.
This courtesy call was part of the ongoing goodwill visit to Manila of Turkish Navy corvette TCG Kinaliada which emphasizes the importance of international naval diplomacy and cooperation.
