NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila — The Philippine Navy (PN) received 9,210 pieces or 190 cases of assorted food provisions and milk products to support the troops stationed in the West Philippine Sea and other island detachments through the collaboration between the Civil-Military Operations Group (CMOG)-PN and the GMA Kapuso Foundation in partnership with Century Pacific Foods, Inc. and Grand Nourriture.

The Flag Officer In Command, Vice Adm. Toribio Adaci Jr., received the donation from the GMA Kapuso Foundation Program Support Assistant Manager Ms. Tracy Cruz; Century Pacific Group Deputy Director Ms. Kamille Corpuz; and Grand Nourriture Senior Marketing Executive Mr. Matthew Gerard Ho in a ceremonial hand-over on June 11 at the CMOG-PN Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The Navy Chief expressed gratitude for the generosity of the GMA Kapuso Foundation, Century Pacific Foods Inc., and Grand Nourriture that is a testament to the strong support that Navy troops receive from their fellow Filipinos.

"Their donations are gestures of love, compassion, support, and concern towards every sailor and marines deployed in distant posts especially in Philippine-held features in the WPS. The defense of our nation is the responsibility of every Filipino and we are very fortunate to have organizations such as the GMA Kapuso Foundation, Century Pacific Group, and Grand Nourriture as our partners in ensuring that our troops can effectively perform their mandate" expressed Vice Adm. Adaci Jr.

“We may be physically far from our sailors and marines in the frontlines but we will always be here to support you in the performance of your duties in protecting our national territory and sovereignty," said Ms. Cruz.

As the Philippine Navy continues its mission to safeguard the nation's territorial integrity and sovereignty, the well-being of its personnel remains a priority. The support from key stakeholders and the Filipino people significantly enhances the morale and welfare of our sailors and marines across the country.
